About Me

Hi! I'm Teo Almaguer. I am a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I study Media and Journalism as well as Philosophy.

I currently serve as a columnist and editorial cartoonist for The Daily Tar Heel and as an art director and designer for 1893 Brand Studio.

Originally from Cary, North Carolina, I first discovered my passion for storytelling through visual art before expanding into writing and multimedia journalism. Today, I enjoy working across disciplines—whether reporting on campus and community issues, designing graphics, creating editorial cartoons,  or documenting the world through photography. No matter the medium, I’m driven by the opportunity to tell meaningful stories that leave an impression on audiences.

Outside of work and class, you can usually find me thrifting, cooking, staying active or pursuing new creative projects. I’m always looking for opportunities to grow as a journalist, designer and visual storyteller.
